Email Marketing Specialist

Nickel & Suede is looking for a part-time Email Marketing Specialist to manage our customer-facing messaging program. We are seeking someone super-organized, proactive, and data-driven. In this role, you will be using email and SMS marketing to engage customers in original ways, garner data, drive revenue, build loyalty and brand equity.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the scheduling and deployment process for email and SMS marketing
• Generate and implement ideas for subscriber and revenue growth
• Lead efforts associated with A/B testing, automations, and segmentations across all email efforts and collaborate with various stakeholders to incorporate them into their programs
• Test and QA all emails, ensuring accuracy of content and links
• Be the subject matter expert on our internal and external email platforms, serving as the point person for maintaining current vendor relationships and onboarding new vendors
• Analyze messaging performance, communicate results via weekly reports, and apply learnings to future campaigns
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to HTML templates, list segmentation, email opt-outs and automation triggers
• Be the in-house expert on email best practices, technologies, and trends

Qualifications:

• Relevant Bachelors degree and/or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years of experience within email marketing, preferably with an e-commerce or direct-to-consumer brand
• An analytical mindset who loves to share findings and actionable insights
• Experience with email-specific tools (specifically Klaviyo), languages (HTML, CSS), Google Analytics, and/or project management software
• Strong understanding of email marketing best practices, audience segmentation, customer databases, A/B Testing
• Skilled at prioritizing and managing multiple projects, taking initiative, and working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Optimistic and positive mind-set

 

Salary: Commensurate with experience
