What is Shine Squad?
Shine Squad is Nickel & Suede’s loyalty program that rewards you for shopping with us! In addition to earning points on purchases, you’ll also receive access to exclusive promotions, products, and bonuses like birthday points and referral points.

How do I join?
Create an account online through the Shine Squad portal or sign up with an Associate in one of our retail stores. If you already have an account with nickelandsuede.com, then you do not need to create a new Shine Squad account. Simply use your email address and password to log in to your Shine Squad account. We recommend signing up before you make your first purchase, but you can join anytime! You will receive an email confirmation that your account has been created and you should be able to start earning points right away.

Can I join if I’m shopping in-store?
Yes! Our Store Associates would be happy to help you sign up for the Shine squad. However, if you have any issues with your account, our Customer Service will be the best team to help you. You can reach them at info@nickelandsuede.com. Any outreach outside of business hours will be returned the following business day.

What benefits do Shine Squad members get?

How is my tier status determined?
As a member, you will earn points for every $1 spent online. We currently offer three tiers – Love Your Light, Shine Bright, and Glow Girl. Please see our Tiers chart on our Shine Squad page for more details here.

Does my tier reset every year?
Tier status does reset every calendar year, however, your status is good for 1 full calendar year plus the balance of the year in which you earn your tier. For example, if a customer reaches Shine Bright by March 31, 2022, they will have Shine Bright status until January 1, 2024. Or a customer reaches Glow Girl by November 15, 2022, they will have Glow Girl Status until January 1, 2024.

How do points work?
Earn one point per $1 spent online or in-store. For customers who reach Glow Girl status, those customers will receive 2 points for every $1 spent online or in-store. Customers must be logged into their accounts to receive points towards their purchase.

How do I redeem my points? Do they expire?
Once you have accumulated at least 500 points, you can redeem points through the Shine Squad accounts page. Please make sure you are logged into your account first. Points will expire 12 months after inactivity. For example, points earned from a purchase made on March 31, 2022, will expire on March 31, 2023.

Where can I see my points, rewards, and status?
You must log into your account via the Shine Squad portal on www.nickelandsuede.com. If you see something that is not correct, please reach out to Customer Service at info@nickelandsuede.com. Any outreach outside of business hours will be returned the following business day.

How can I make sure my purchases count toward earning points and status?
When shopping online, you must be logged into your account using the email address associated with your Shine Squad membership. For in-store purchases, notify the sales associate upon checkout that you are a Shine Squad member and provide the email address associated with your account. Associates will apply the customer account to the order, and points will be awarded.

How does my birthday gift work?
Log in to your Nickel & Suede account associated with Shine Squad and make sure you have entered your birthday and that you are subscribed to our emails. In the Shine Squad Panel, click on "Ways to Redeem" and then follow the instructions to add your birth date! To receive birthday points, customers must enter their birthday into their profile at least 30 days before their birth date. You will receive a special email on your birthday with more details on your gift.

How does the referral program work?
Earn 500 points for every referral you make! Simply send a referral link to a friend or family member who is new to Nickel & Suede. They’ll receive a $10 credit toward their first purchase of $50+ before tax. You’ll see the 1000 points in your Shine Squad account once they have made their first qualifying purchase.

I referred a friend. Why didn't I receive points?
Referred friends and family will receive $10 off their first order of $50 or more after tax. You will get 1000 points added to your account once their purchase is completed. Please note, you are not able to refer yourself using another account. Only new customers who have never purchased on nickelandsuede.com or in-store will be eligible to be referred. Nickel & Suede reserves the right to disable any account suspected of abuse of our referral and rewards program.

What happens if I return items?
If you return any item to Nickel & Suede, your points will be deducted from your Shine Squad account. Shine Squad points are not eligible for refund or exchange. Please note that we cannot retroactively add points on past purchases to your account. You will start redeeming once your Shine Squad account has been created.

Can I sign up if I don’t live in the U.S.?
All customers are eligible to enroll in Shine Squad and earn points toward rewards. However, some of our perks including shipping rewards are only eligible within the U.S.

When will I begin to earn points?
You will begin earning points once you have created an account with Shine Squad! Once logged in, you can start shopping online at nickelandsuede.com, and your points will start to accumulate. If shopping in-store, be sure to let the Store Associate know you are a Shine Member so they can assign your purchase to your Shine Squad account.

How long does it take for points to show up in my account?
Points will show up in your account within 24 hours of purchase. If you do not see points in your account within 24 hours, please contact Customer Service at info@nickelandsuede.com. Any outreach outside of business hours will be returned the following business day.

Can I use multiple discount codes with my order?
Our cart checkout only allows (1) discount or promotional code per order. This includes free shipping offers and the usage of points via our Rewards Program.

How do I get access to exclusive Shine Squad products?
You must be logged into your account to access Shine Squad exclusives.

How do I get early access to sales and launches?
Early access will be sent via our weekly email newsletters. You must be signed up for our email newsletters to receive early access. You can sign up for our email newsletters here.

What happens to the BFF Group? Do I still get all the same benefits?
The BFF group will still exist as a Facebook group. We will continue to offer special exclusives within the Facebook group, such as Ask Me Anything segments with founder Kilee Nickels, sneak previews, and opportunities to give feedback on past or future promotions. However, all other perks, such as free shipping, have been transferred to the Shine Squad and their respective tiers.

If I am already a BFF member, do I need to create a Shine Squad account?
If you have an active account with nickelandsuede.com, you do not need to create a separate Shine Squad account. Simply log in to your Shine Squad account using your regular email address and password.

What if I have multiple BFF accounts? Can I combine them and their points?
The Shine Squad is available to individuals and is limited to one account per individual. We cannot combine accounts, and Nickel & Suede reserves the right to disable any account suspected of abuse of our referral and rewards program.

NICKEL & SUEDE SHINE SQUAD LOYALTY PROGRAM TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The terms and conditions outlined in this Loyalty Program agreement (the “Loyalty Agreement”) govern membership in the NICKEL & SUEDE SHINE SQUAD Loyalty Program(“Program”). Participants in the Program are subject to the terms and conditions herein. Your enrollment in the Program is expressly conditioned upon your compliance with this Loyalty Agreement. By enrolling into the Program, you (“you” or “Member”) agree that you have read, understand and agree to be bound by this Loyalty Agreement, including Nickel & Suede’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which are incorporated herein by reference, and to comply with all applicable U.S. laws and regulations. If you do not agree with the terms of this Loyalty Agreement, please do not become a Member or terminate your membership, if applicable. Program terms and conditions are void to the extent where prohibited by law. Taxes may apply where required by law. Your enrollment in the Program is subject to present and future Program terms and conditions. This Loyalty Agreement does not alter in any way the terms or conditions of any other agreement you may have with us. If you do not agree to by bound by this Loyalty Agreement, our website Privacy Policy, and our website Terms of Service, you cannot enroll in the Program.

1. MEMBERSHIP:
The Program is offered at the sole discretion of Nickel & Suede or its affiliates or subsidiaries (“Nickel & Suede” or “we”). Membership is open to individuals who are at least 18 years old or the age of majority in the Member’s jurisdiction of residence, whichever is older. Some membership benefits may be excluded for non-U.S.-based residents. Membership in the Program is voluntary. No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enroll in the Program. The Program is available to individuals for personal use only and is limited to one account per individual. Corporations, associations, or other groups may not enroll in the Program. Employees of Nickel & Suede and their dependents are not eligible to enroll in the Program.

2. MEMBERSHIP ENROLLMENT:
Eligible individuals may enroll in the Program by visiting www.nickelandsuede.com, (the “Site”), creating an account, and joining the Program. Individuals who already have an account on the Site are automatically enrolled in the Program. You may be required to provide your full name, telephone number, mailing address, email address, and other type of personal information and to create a password in order to enroll. Once you provide this information, you will be enrolled in the Program and provided a Member account. You are solely responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your account information and for updating it as required. Members must provide the required information to be enrolled and to be eligible for benefits and rewards, such as free gifts with purchase (“Rewards”). Only one Member account may be associated with a single email address. In the event of a dispute over ownership of the Member account, the member will be deemed to be the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of enrollment. For purposes of this Loyalty Agreement, the “authorized account holder” is the natural person who is assigned to the submitted email address by an internet provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address.

3. PARTICIPATION:
The Program is a rewards program that benefits its Members with points every time they shop. You may earn points (“Points”) for each dollar you spend on online transactions on www.nickelandsuede.com or at any of our retail locations, excluding federal, state, and local taxes, shipping charges, employee discounts, commercial/wholesale account purchases, gift cards, gift certificates, charitable donations, returns, refunds, merchandise credits or any Rewards or other awards (“qualifying purchases”). For your purchase to qualify to earn Points, you must be signed into your Member account at the time of purchase; or provide your Program member identification (that is, the email address you registered under the Program) when making a qualifying purchase. If you return items from a qualifying purchase, the appropriate number of Points will be automatically deducted from your account balance. Nickel & Suede may also, at its sole discretion, provide additional Points in connection with certain transactions and promotions. You are able to earn Points and reach Program loyalty tiers by making eligible purchases or taking certain other Program actions. Once you earn Points and reach a certain loyalty tier, you may be eligible for certain Rewards applicable to that tier, which may change from time to time and may be offered on a limited basis. Eligible purchases and other opportunities to earn Points and reach Program loyalty tiers will be posted on the Site or may be published through other media (for example, in marketing communications and social media). 4. POINTS:
Points have no cash value, are non-negotiable, and cannot be redeemed either in whole or in part for cash. Only the Member paying for products in a qualifying purchase may accumulate Points or Rewards. Points do not constitute property of any Member or other person and may not be brokered, bartered, pledged, gifted, sold or otherwise transferred for consideration, other than by Nickel & Suede or as expressly provided for in this Loyalty Agreement, and any receipt or use of Points in violation of the terms and conditions herein will render such Points void. Neither accounts nor Rewards or Points may be shared or combined. Points earned may not eligible for redemption for 24-48 hours once they are awarded. Points are not capable of being combined or transferred to any other type of Nickel & Suede promotion or award. Once Points or Rewards are redeemed to make an order, any unused reward value is exhausted, forfeited and will not rollover. After 12 months of inactivity, Points may expire. Inactivity is defined as a period in which a Member earns no Points or redeems no Points.

5. REWARDS & REDEMPTION:
The number of Points necessary to earn a Reward is determined by Nickel & Suede in its sole discretion and may be changed without prior notice to you. You may view how many Points you have accumulated by signing into your online Nickel & Suede account and visiting your account details. You may redeem Rewards by accessing your account at www.nickelandsuede.com. Once you select your Reward, you will receive a unique code (“Code”), which you must enter at checkout with your purchase. Points used to redeem a Reward will be deducted from the total Points available in your Member account. Points may not be used towards purchases of sales tax or express shipping charges. We reserve the right to change Rewards, how you earn Points and reach each Program tier and how we evaluate and reward your eligible purchases and other Program activity. We reserve the right to place limits on the number of purchases or activities that are eligible for the Program or for any given tier, the number or types of Rewards you may receive or earn in any given tier, in a given time period or for the duration of the Program, or any combination thereof. Rewards can only be redeemed on the Site, unless otherwise expressly authorized by Nickel & Suede. You cannot combine Rewards with any other coupon or promotion. Rewards cannot be exchanged or returned for another product or service or a monetary refund. The products available for qualifying purchases or for acquisition with any Reward through the Program are intended for your personal use only. We reserve the right, without notice, to cancel or reduce the quantity of any order to be filled or any products to provide to you that we believe, in our sole discretion, may result in a violation of this Loyalty Agreement. Any Rewards and/or Codes issued to you are subject to the expiration date, if any, communicated with the Reward or Code. In addition, 12 months of account inactivity, all accrued and unused Rewards and Points expire. Inactivity is defined as a period in which a Member earns no Points or redeems no Points.

6. COMMUNICATION:
As a member, you may periodically receive marketing emails from Nickel & Suede about the Program. You may opt-out of the marketing emails at any time, but operational emails will still be sent to you as it relates to your membership in the Program. Examples of these include the welcome email, Rewards updates, etc.

7. ADDITIONAL REWARDS REDEMPTION:
Nickel & Suede reserves the right to cancel, modify or restrict any aspect of the Program at any time with or without notice. Membership in the Program may be revoked at any time. Membership is nontransferable. Any abuse of the Program, failure to follow any terms of the Program, or any misrepresentation may subject Members to revocation of Membership and will affect eligibility for further enrollment in the Program. Further, Nickel & Suede reserves the right to seek all remedies, whether available at law or at equity, criminal or civil, in the event Member defrauds or abuses the Program, fails to follow any terms of the Program, or makes any misrepresentation to Nickel & Suede. Program purchases, as reflected in Nickel & Suede records, shall be deemed correct and Nickel & Suede reserves the right to determine the qualification for any transaction and to correct or modify the Reward at any time based on Nickel & Suede records and calculation of account information. Nickel & Suede is not responsible for communications or Rewards lost due to an inaccuracy in or change of address or other contact information. Taxes on Rewards may apply where required by law. Any tax liability, including disclosure, is the sole responsibility of the Member. From time to time, Rewards balances and values may be updated in the Program. Please check your account details for the most up-to-date Point balances. Nickel & Suede may waive compliance with these terms and conditions in its sole discretion and may run promotions from time to time that provide enhanced benefits to select Members. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Nickel & Suede’s failure to exercise any of its rights under this Loyalty Agreement or its delay in enforcing or exercising any of those rights shall not constitute a waiver of such rights. If you have concerns that a purchase or other activity was not properly applied to your account, you should contact us by emailinginfo@nickelandsuede.com. Your email must specify your name and email address associated with the Program, the date of the Program activity, and the issue you encountered. 8. TERMINATION:
The Program has no predetermined termination date and may continue until such time as Nickel & Suede, at its sole discretion, elects to designate a termination date for the Program. In the event that the Program terminates, Nickel & Suede will notify you of the termination date. Nickel & Suede reserves the right, in its sole discretion and without notice, to expire a Member’s account after one year of account inactivity. No extensions, cash refunds or other exchanges will be allowed for Points that have been removed from an account based on inactivity. Nickel & Suede reserves the right to deactivate an Account in which Points were obtained as a result of fraudulent activity or technical failures of any kind. In order to reactivate an account, or if you want to cancel enrollment in the Program or request not to be communicated you must notify Nickel & Suede at info@nickelandsuede.com. All accrued Points will be lost if your Member account expires or is cancelled, and you will not be able to redeem any remaining Points for Rewards.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY AND ADDITIONAL TERMS:
All Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability in the Nickel & Suede Terms & Conditions apply to the Program as part of the “Services” thereunder. Without limiting the foregoing, NO RESPONSIBILITY IS ASSUMED FOR (A) LOSS OR MISDIRECTION OF, OR DELAY IN RECEIVING, ANY MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION, DATA, CORRESPONDENCE, OR REWARDS; (B) THEFT OR UNAUTHORIZED REDEMPTION OF CREDITS OR REWARDS OR USE OF A REWARD CAUSED BY CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND THE REASONABLE CONTROL OF US OR OUR REPRESENTATIVES, AGENTS; (C) ANY ACTS OR OMISSIONS OF THIRD PARTIES; (D ) ANY ERRORS PUBLISHED IN RELATION TO THE PROGRAM, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY TYPOGRAPHICAL ERRORS, ERRORS OF DESCRIPTION, AND ERRORS IN THE CREDITING OR DEBITING OF CREDITS FROM MEMBER ACCOUNTS, OR (E) . DELAY IN OR FAILURE TO PERFORM DUE TO CAUSES BEYOND OUR CONTROL, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY ACT OF GOD, AND ACT OF WAR, NATURAL DISASTER, TERRORISM, OR ANY ACT OR OMISSION OF A THIRD PARTY. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CORRECT, WITHOUT NOTICE, ANY ERRORS.

NICKEL & SUEDE SHINE SQUAD REFERRAL PROGRAM TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By participating in NICKEL & SUEDE’S Referral Program (the “Program), you (“You” or “Referrer”) may use a personalized link to share with your friends (“Referred Customers”) an online coupon code they can redeem for $10 off their first merchandise order over $50 before tax (Referral Code”) on www.nickelandsuede.com or at any of our retail locations. Subject to these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”), when your Referred Customer uses your active personalized link to make his or her first merchandise purchase totaling $50 or more before tax (a “Qualifying Purchase”), you will earn 1000 bonus points (the “Reward Bonus”). Reward Bonuses ordinarily are distributed 24 hours after the completion of a Qualifying Purchase. Referral Codes are promotional in nature, can only be used in a single order, are valid only at www.nickelandsuede.com or at Nickel & Suede’s retail locations. You may earn only one (1) Bonus Reward per Referred Customer, regardless of the number of purchases that your Referred Customer makes. To receive multiple Bonus Rewards, you must introduce multiple Referred Customers who make a Qualifying Purchase using your active personalized referral links. You cannot refer yourself to earn a Referral Reward and purchases by Referred Customers who share your email address, billing address or shipping information will not qualify for a Bonus Reward. When sharing Referral Codes, you agree that you will always tell your Referred Customers that you will receive a reward from Nickel & Suede if they make their first Qualifying Purchase using your link.

LIMITS ON USE OF REFERRAL AND REWARD CODES
Referral Codes shared by Referrers cannot be combined by Referred Customers and a Referral Code can only be used for an individual’s first purchase from Nickel & Suede. Referral Codes can only be redeemed for Nickel & Suede merchandise orders placed at the Nickel & Suede’s online store, www.nickelandsuede.com, or at one of Nickel & Suede’s own retail stores. Referral Codes and Bonus Rewards are not transferable, have no cash value, and cannot, under any circumstances, be redeemed for cash or any cash equivalent. Referral Codes cannot be stacked or combined with other offers or promotions. Once any portion of a Referral Code is redeemed to make an order, any unused reward value is exhausted, forfeited and will not rollover. Use it or lose it.

ELIGIBILITY
Eligibility to participate in the Program is limited to individuals only. Nickel & Suede’s Program cannot be used by businesses or for affiliate lead generation or similar purposes, as determined in Nickel & Suede’s sole discretion. The use of multiple accounts, email addresses, online identities or aliases to circumvent the eligibility requirements and/or other limitations of these Terms is prohibited and may result in exclusion from the Program and the cancellation of all related rewards.

NO SPAM OR POSTING ON COUPON SITES
You should only share your personalized referral link with your personal connections and you may not post or promote your referral link on Nickel & Suede’s social media pages or on coupon sites or other websites created to take advantage of referral traffic generated from individuals searching for coupons or other discount codes, as determined by Nickel & Suede in its sole discretion. You must also comply with all laws governing the transmission of email or other electronic communications. For example, emails must be created and distributed in a personal manner and bulk email distribution is prohibited. Any distribution of your referral link that could constitute unsolicited commercial email or "spam" under any applicable law or regulation is expressly prohibited. Nickel & Suede reserves the right to deactivate any referral links distributed through unauthorized channels and to revoke all related Referral and Reward Codes.

RIGHT TO CLOSE ACCOUNTS
Nickel & Suede reserves the right to close your account and deactivate or cancel all related links and Reward and Referral Codes if Nickel & Suede suspects that you (or any Referred Customer you refer to Nickel & Suede) has used or attempted to use the Program in a fraudulent or abusive manner or in violation of these Terms or applicable law.

RIGHT TO CANCEL PROGRAM AND CHANGE TERMS
This Referral Program and these Terms are subject to modification or termination at any time without notice in our sole discretion. If we terminate the Program, all unused Referral and Reward Codes will be revoked and forfeited at that time.
